Send us a message
Email us at the address above — that is the fastest way to reach us. A support form is coming, but email works today and is read.
When you write, telling us the camera model and your iPhone model makes the answer faster. For camera faults — hardware or firmware — the camera vendor's own support is the right place; we support the app.
Before you write
These cover most questions.
The app says it cannot find my camera
- Make sure the phone is connected to the camera's own Wi-Fi network, not your home or mobile network. The app reaches the camera directly — there is no internet involved.
- Say Allow to the local-network permission prompt when it appears. If you tapped Don't Allow, turn it back on in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Local Network.
- If the camera is switched on but its Wi-Fi has just come up, give it a few seconds and try again.
Which cameras does the app work with?
The app works with a compatible BlackVue dashcam. It does not work with cameras that have no Wi-Fi. If your camera is a different make, the app cannot reach it.
I made a smash but the footage is missing
- Footage has to still be on the camera's memory card. If the card has overwritten that period — which is normal, cards are a loop — the recording is gone and the app cannot recover it.
- Leave the phone connected to the camera while the download runs. If the connection drops, connect again and the download resumes where it left off.
What is free, and what do you pay for?
The free version is the whole app, done by hand. You can record smashes, connect to your camera, download the footage for each one, review it on the map, and export it. Nothing you record is ever held back.
What you pay for is the app doing it for you. A purchase unlocks:
- Connect automatically — the app connects to your camera when it can, so you do not have to press connect.
- Harvest on connection — footage comes back on its own, so you do not have to press download.
- Exports without a watermark.
- Correcting your camera's clock — writing a corrected daylight-saving setting to the camera. Detecting and explaining the problem is free.
The free version keeps up to 25 smashes, and you can record smashes for the first 12 months after you install the app. Smashes you have already recorded are never taken away from you.
Purchases and refunds
Purchases are handled by Apple, not by us, so refunds are requested from Apple. If a purchase is not working, use Restore Purchases on the purchase screen, and write to us if it still does not appear. A purchase is available as a monthly subscription (A$2.99 per month), a yearly subscription (A$14.99 per year), or a one-time purchase (A$49.99) that unlocks everything permanently with nothing further to pay. [CONFIRM IN APP STORE CONNECT BEFORE PUBLICATION — the figures above are decided and must match what is live.]
Privacy
The app records and stores everything on your own device. There is no account and no server. Full detail is in the privacy policy.
